Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (MHEC) Chemical For Wall Putty

Wall putty is a white cement-based powder made of polymer and other minerals that make the wall look smoother. It is primarily used to fill in cracks and holes in walls and prepare an even wall surface before applying paint. Using wall putty helps to provide better protection against stains, mould & cracks for your walls.

The Role Of MHEC In Wall Putty:

Good water retention will make sure all the additives reach the best performance in the product formulation.

● Good workability to increase the efficiency.

● Cellulose Ether HEMC/MHEC could provide a good filming property on the surface of the wall putty, could reduce the water absorption of the base wall. Reduce the risk of cracking.

● Good say-resistance property by providing a good viscosity of the wet mortar.

Advantages of MHEC in Wall Putty:

Improved Workability: MHEC provides a smooth and creamy texture to wall putty, making it easier to apply and spread evenly over surfaces.

Enhanced Water Retention: MHEC ensures optimal water retention in the putty, preventing it from drying out too quickly. This allows for better curing and reduces the risk of cracking.

Increased Adhesion: The addition of MHEC improves the adhesion of wall putty to various substrates, such as concrete, plaster, and gypsum, ensuring a stronger bond and a more durable finish.

Sag Resistance: MHEC helps maintain the stability of the putty, preventing sagging or slumping during application, especially on vertical surfaces.

Consistency and Stability: MHEC provides a consistent mixture, reducing segregation and ensuring uniform application. This results in a smoother surface finish.

Crack Resistance: By retaining moisture and providing a flexible matrix, MHEC helps reduce shrinkage and cracking during the drying process, leading to a more uniform and durable finish.

Extended Working Time: MHEC Powder extends the working time of wall putty, allowing applicators more time to work with the material before it sets, which is particularly useful for large areas or intricate work.

Enhanced Smoothness: The film-forming properties of MHEC Cellulose contribute to a smoother and more polished surface, improving the overall aesthetic quality of the wall finish.
